iHire Honored as a 2022 Top Washington-Area Workplace by The Washington Post
Industry-focused recruitment marketing company wins back-to-back awards for workplace culture excellence
Frederick, Maryland – June 20, 2022 – iHire has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2022 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C., area for the second consecutive year. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year’s honorees include government contractors, real estate firms, professional and business services, law firms, and tech companies.
“Earning back-to-back recognition on The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces list is a result of our people-first culture that is deeply rooted in our core values,” said Steve Flook, iHire’s President and CEO. “Even with our rapid company growth – including our acquisition of WorkInSports, uncertainty around the pandemic, and ongoing remote and hybrid work, our commitment to being an employer of choice has not waivered. Thank you to all iHire associates for continuing to make our company a truly great place to work.”
In the past year, iHire’s company culture has flourished with notable initiatives such as the return of in-person events (like its annual summer picnics), continued flexibility (employees can work remotely, in an office, or follow a hybrid schedule), new mental health benefits (a mental health day off, free subscription to Headspace, and lunch-and-learn series on mental health topics), an employee service award initiative, the launch of the iHire Internship Program for entry-level software developers, and more.
“The Post’s Top Workplaces list is now in its ninth year and continues to highlight the companies in the Washington-area that employees deem to be leaders in company satisfaction and engagement,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces Editor Dion Haynes. “Each year, the leaders at these companies are commended for their leadership and collegiality, qualities which have increased in importance to employees with the last few years of heightened transition and change.”
