Software Developer

Luna Data Solutions is seeking an Oracle DB Developer with both Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills for a remote (from Texas) long term contract.
Oracle Database Developer (Oracle SQL and PL/SQL)

• The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project.
• This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and views.
• The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status.
• Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.
• This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; advanced concepts such as bulk collect, handling data in JSON/X
• 7+ years of expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage
• 7+ years of documentation experience
• 7+ years of Dev/Unit Testing
• 7+ years of Agile Development experience
• 4+ years of proficiency in storing, querying, manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables
• 4+ years of proficiency in creating complex queries and views using data stored in JSON format
• 4+ years of optimizing performance of stored procedure and views accessing data stored in JSON format
